I watched the clouds assembling like soldiers,
the ominous tools of a vast advancing army.
And struck with fear, we clamored to find shelter,
And then at once, the heavens in all their fury burst.
Petulant we bowed down to the graven gods our hands have made.
And raising our fists up to the sky rejoiced, "The time of man has come."
Above the din, I hear the screams and curses,
The ultimate gasp of a race doomed from creation.
The land beneath dissolves into the darkness,
Until at last, the torrent, it carries me away
Petulant we bowed down to the graven gods our hands have made.
And raising our fists up to the sky rejoiced, "The time of man has come."
All the kingdoms of the earth collapse at the bidding of our creator.
Once children of a mighty God, now traitors drowning in vengeful water.
The flood has overtaken me.
The flood has overtaken me...
Petulant we bowed down to the graven gods our hands have made.
And raising our fists up to the sky rejoiced.
The time of man has come.
